The Glencairn Group are committed to contributing to Scotland's efforts to combat homelessness and the lack of affordable housing. We are devoted to supporting the Scottish government's efforts to solve the housing problem in our nation.

Our primary goals are to improve communities, place-make, and landscapes, and we specialise in restoring brownfield areas. Our team carefully acquires land and plans, designs and builds affordable housing developments for housing associations and local authorities.
Understanding the brief
We establish communication and take the time to understand our partners' needs, both geographically and in terms of specific housing needs.
Site acquisition
To meet affordable housing demands and needs, we expertly source and acquire land and develop offers to purchase land opportunities and negotiate with landowners. This entails extensive consultation with designers, engineers, solicitors, supply chain, local authority planners, and solicitors.
Design and planning
With full input from our partners, we carefully select and appoint appropriate design professionals. We oversee the entire project design development process, from pre-construction concept to scheme design. There are numerous stakeholders involved in the planning process, and our team has the necessary experience to coordinate the wide range of needs and views in order to successfully complete the planning and pre-construction processes.
Building
Our team has extensive experience building both housing and apartment complexes. We work with reliable suppliers to ensure that the entire construction process is efficient and effective, and that the final product is delivered successfully. The Glencairn Group takes its responsibilities on all developments seriously with our top priority being health and safety. We believe that everyone has the right to return home safely every day, as well as the responsibility to care for themselves and those around them. No other consideration, whether commercial or operational, takes precedence over the health and safety of those involved in or affected by our onsite activities.
Quality, cost and time
We understand the significance of achieving best value and meeting deadlines. We have robust costing and programming systems in place to ensure that we meet our partners' key specifications, quality, cost, and time constraints. Prior to handover, all homes will be inspected and checked by the company's directors to ensure that our high-quality standards are always met.
Handover and aftercare
We understand the stresses and strains that tenants can experience during a move, so we make certain that our personal and friendly team members are available to discuss all aspects of their new home. Our move-in and handover packs are simple to use and should enable every homeowner or tenant to run their home as efficiently as possible. We are also aware that questions may arise after the homes have been occupied for a period of time, and our after-care support is available in these instances.
